December 10, 2025, in Panama West, specifically in the district of La Chorrera, El Arado, a man's body was found on the roadside leading to Río Congo. The body of 47-year-old Claudio Ernesto Walden Davis was in an advanced state of decomposition. It was discovered by local residents at approximately 3:40 PM on Tuesday. Near the body, criminalistics experts and forensic experts from the Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences (IMELCF) located two bullet casings, the victim's wallet with an identity card, seven credit cards, and other personal documents. The cause of death and the precise location of the gunshot wounds will be determined through a rigorous autopsy. The investigation is proceeding for the crime against life and personal integrity in the modality of homicide with a firearm.
